Denyse Henry, RN, BHA (Hons), MHM, MScN is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Association of Ambulatory Care (CAAC). With over 26 years of experience in healthcare, her career spans Critical Care Nursing, Patient Advocacy, Healthcare Operations, and Nursing Leadership.
Ms. Henry currently works as Director of Operations, for the Integrated Surgical Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where she leads strategic and operational excellence across surgical and related programs. She also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto.
Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Health Administration with Honours from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), a Master of Health Management (MHM) from McMaster University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) with a focus on leadership and adult education from York University, and Executive Education from the Ivey Business School (2023–2024).
Ms. Henry is a published author in the Canadian Health Policy Journal and has served on Program Advisory Committees at Seneca College and Toronto Metropolitan University. She is also the Founder and CEO of Integrated Healthcare Consulting, providing management consulting services to healthcare organizations.
As a leader, she is constantly seeking creative ways to foster a dynamic learning environment to promote high quality patient care and continuous quality improvement. Through the CAAC, Ms. Henry remains committed to advancing ambulatory care across Canada by fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary network of healthcare professionals dedicated to best practices in outpatient care.
