Nelisha Bhaloo is 10 years into her Nursing career and has an extensive career path which she continues to build on. Along with a wealth of knowledge and experiences in Critical Care, Peri-anesthesia Nursing and Ambulatory Care, Nelisha is passionate about leadership, education, quality improvement, patient safety and voluntary service. Nelisha is ready to further her career and education to help advance the profession of nursing, have a meaningful impact on the role of nursing in the health care system and to strive to make positive changes to the way patients and families are cared for through a person centered care approach. Ultimately, Nelisha’s goal is to achieve professional and scholarly excellence and is pursuing a Masters of Nursing in order to enable her to have the skills necessary to improve the health and well-being of patients and families by implementing patient safety and quality improvement initiatives and to effectively manage and lead nursing teams to improve clinical practice. Nelisha looks forward to expanding her contribution and being a vital member to the CAAC.
